About the role

Rissalah College is seeking a IT Assistant to help maintain the College's computer systems and related equipment. Working across the school environment, you will install, configure, test and maintain hardware used by staff and students, and investigate equipment faults to help keep technology operating reliably.

Key responsibilities:

• Prepare computers and related equipment for use in classrooms and staff work areas.
• Check reported equipment problems, identify likely causes and decide whether repair or replacement is needed.
• Replace faulty parts and arrange specialist servicing when an issue cannot be resolved on site.
• Set up printers, monitors and other computer accessories, and check that they work as expected.
• Carry out scheduled equipment checks and follow up on items that need attention.
• Maintain clear records of equipment locations, repairs, replacements and service requests.
• Work with College staff and external suppliers to coordinate equipment repairs and replacements.

Skills and experience

The successful applicant will have:

• A diploma or higher qualification in information technology, computer systems or a related field.
• At least two years of relevant work experience in computer hardware support, maintenance or repair.
• Knowledge of computer components, diagnostic tools and common peripherals.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work respectfully in a school environment.
• The ability to manage tasks and maintain accurate service records.
