Data Center Inventory and Asset Technician

Experis is seeking a Data Center Inventory & Asset Technician to support enterprise clients in a fast-paced, professional services environment. In this role, you will track and manage servers, network gear, and related hardware across their lifecycle, from receiving and tagging through deployment and decommissioning. Responsibilities include maintaining accurate asset records, conducting physical audits, reconciling inventory, and preparing reports. You'll collaborate with engineering and project teams, follow strict security and change procedures, and contribute to continuous improvement in data center operations.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate inventory of data center hardware, components, and spare parts using tracking systems and asset management tools
• Perform physical audits, tagging, labeling, and lifecycle updates for servers, network gear, and related infrastructure
• Coordinate receiving, staging, deployment, and decommissioning of data center equipment following change and security procedures
• Update configuration and asset records, reconcile discrepancies, and generate inventory and utilization reports
• Collaborate with engineers and project teams to support installs, moves, adds, and changes in a fast-paced environment
• Follow safety, compliance, and documentation standards while working in secure data center facilities
