Kforce is immediately seeking an experienced Project Manager in support of our enterprise telecommunications and mass media client based in Maryland Heights, MO.

Summary

We are seeking an experienced Technical Project Manager to lead complex technology initiatives involving service activation, provisioning, and operational support systems. This role requires a proven project management foundation combined with a strong technical background and the ability to partner with engineering, architecture, product, and business teams.

The ideal candidate is not only skilled in managing scope, schedule, budget, risks, and dependencies, but also possesses hands-on knowledge of telecommunications platforms, OSS/BSS environments, and service activation workflows. Candidates should be comfortable engaging in technical discussions, understanding system integrations, and translating technical requirements into successful project outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end delivery of large-scale technical projects and programs
  • Manage project scope, schedule, budget, resource planning, risks, issues, and dependencies
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams including engineering, architecture, operations, product, and business stakeholders
  • Facilitate project planning, status reporting, executive communications, and governance activities
  • Drive project execution from initiation through implementation and operational transition
  • Ensure alignment between business objectives and technical solutions
  • Identify and mitigate project risks while maintaining delivery timelines and quality standards
  • Track project metrics, milestones, and deliverables to ensure successful outcomes
  • Support technical conversations regarding system integrations, provisioning, activation, and operational processes

REQUIREMENTS

  • 7+ years of project management experience delivering complex technology initiatives
  • Strong experience managing scope, schedule, budget, and project governance activities
  • Technical background with the ability to understand system architecture, integrations, and software delivery processes
  • Experience working within telecommunications, cable, wireless, networking, or related technology environments
  • Knowledge of OSS/BSS platforms and business processes
  • Experience supporting service activation, provisioning, order management, fulfillment, or related operational systems
  • Proven ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
  • Experience utilizing Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid delivery methodologies

Preferred Qualifications

  • PMP certification or equivalent project management certification
  • Experience within a large telecommunications or service provider environment
  • Previous experience supporting customer activation, provisioning, fulfillment, or service delivery platforms
  • Prior experience managing multiple concurrent technical workstreams
  • Understanding of network operations, service delivery, and enterprise technology ecosystems

Ideal Candidate Profile

The successful candidate will bring traditional project management expertise along with a deeper technical understanding than a typical PM role requires. They should be comfortable discussing system functionality, integrations, provisioning workflows, OSS/BSS platforms, and service activation processes while confidently leading large, cross-functional technology initiatives.
