Project Manager - Software Projects

Genesis10 is currently seeking a Project Manager - Software Projects for a hybrid position with a Global Financial Institution located in Plano, TX or Charlotte, NC. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity.
This role is responsible for the end-to-end management of high-complexity software projects within a banking environment. The ideal candidate will lead cross-functional teams to deliver solutions for payment systems, managing scope, timeline, and budget while utilizing Agile methodologies, MS Project, and Jira.
Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the end-to-end management and delivery of high-complexity software projects and material changes across multiple departments, business units, and technology teams within a banking environment
• Lead and manage projects supporting end-to-end payments systems, including payment processing, transaction workflows, integrations, and related banking technology platforms
• Manage, lead, and direct the work efforts of cross-functional resources, including Technology, Product, Operations, Risk, Compliance, and other business stakeholders
• Drive the end-to-end integration of multiple workstreams to ensure successful delivery of the intended project solution and alignment with business and technology objectives
• Manage project scope, timeline, budget, dependencies, risks, issues, and resource requirements throughout the project lifecycle
• Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, milestones, and dependencies using Microsoft Project (MS Project)
• Utilize Jira to manage project backlogs, work items, delivery tracking, dependencies, and Agile execution
• Lead projects using Agile methodologies, facilitating planning, prioritization, delivery coordination, status reporting, and stakeholder communications
• Obtain and align resources to key project roles and establish clearly defined responsibilities, ownership, and accountabilities across project teams
• Coordinate software development and technology delivery activities from requirements and planning through development, testing, implementation, and production delivery
• Represent senior project stakeholders where required and provide clear status updates, project reporting, risk escalation, and recommendations to leadership
• Identify and manage project risks, issues, dependencies, and decisions while proactively driving mitigation and resolution
• Ensure effective communication and coordination between business stakeholders, software development teams, technology partners, and operational teams

Requirements:

• 5+ years of Project Management experience, preferably managing complex software/technology projects within the banking or financial services industry
• Must have experience managing software development projects from initiation through implementation and production delivery
• Must have banking experience with end-to-end payments systems, including payment processing, transaction flows, integrations, or related payment technology
• Strong experience managing Agile projects and working with cross-functional technology and business teams
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Project (MS Project) for project planning, scheduling, milestones, dependencies, and resource management
• Strong experience with Jira for Agile project and delivery management
• Experience managing project scope, timelines, budgets, resources, risks, issues, and dependencies across complex initiatives
• Ability to represent senior project stakeholders and communicate effectively with executive-level audiences
• Strong understanding of software development and technology delivery lifecycles
• Excellent communication, organization, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills

Pay range: $50.39 - $58.39 per hour
