About the Role
We're seeking a highly analytical Senior Business Analyst to help drive large-scale application development and transformation initiatives within the banking and financial services sector. In this role, you'll partner with business leaders, product teams, architects, developers, QA engineers, and compliance stakeholders to define business needs, improve processes, and deliver technology solutions that create measurable business value.
The ideal candidate is naturally curious, comfortable challenging assumptions, and passionate about transforming complex business problems into scalable, well-documented solutions.
What You'll Do

• Lead business discovery sessions, stakeholder interviews, workshops, and requirements-gathering activities.
• Analyze current-state and future-state business processes and identify opportunities for optimization, automation, and operational efficiency.
• Translate business objectives into clear, actionable, and testable requirements.
• Create and maintain key project artifacts including BRDs, FRDs, user stories, use cases, process flows, RTMs, acceptance criteria, and data mapping documents.
• Act as the bridge between business and technology teams, ensuring alignment throughout the project lifecycle.
• Collaborate with Product Owners, Architects, Developers, QA teams, and Project Managers to support successful solution delivery.
• Participate in Agile and Waterfall project activities including backlog refinement, sprint planning, requirements walkthroughs, and change management.
• Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT), defect analysis, production readiness, and implementation activities.
• Evaluate system integrations, APIs, data flows, and downstream impacts to ensure end-to-end solution integrity.
• Ensure solutions comply with banking regulations, security standards, audit requirements, and risk controls.
• Identify project risks, dependencies, gaps, and improvement opportunities while proactively driving resolution.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, Finance, or a related field.
• 7+ years of Business Analysis or Business Systems Analysis experience.
• 3+ years of experience within Banking, Financial Services, Payments, Lending, Credit Unions, FinTech, or related domains.
• Strong expertise in requirements elicitation, gap analysis, process modeling, and stakeholder management.
• Experience developing:
• BRDs
• FRDs
• User Stories
• Use Cases
• Acceptance Criteria
• Process Flows
• Data Mapping Documentation
• Requirements Traceability Matrices (RTMs)
• Experience working within Agile/Scrum and Waterfall environments.
• Knowledge of APIs, system integrations, web services, databases, and data flows.
• Experience with Jira, Azure DevOps, Confluence, Visio, Lucidchart, or similar tools.
• Strong analytical, communication, problem-solving, and facilitation skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in Digital Banking, Lending, Payments, Deposits, Treasury Management, Commercial Banking, or Core Banking platforms.
• Experience supporting banking modernization or digital transformation programs.
• Familiarity with cloud-based platforms and cloud migration initiatives.
• Experience working with complex enterprise integrations and data-intensive applications.
• Understanding of regulatory compliance, audit, risk management, and security controls within financial services.
• Previous consulting experience supporting enterprise clients and cross-functional teams.
