Entry-Level Business Analyst

Job Summary

We are looking for an Entry-Level Business Analyst to join our team and support business and technology projects. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical and communication skills, an interest in understanding business processes, and the ability to work with different teams to gather and document requirements.

This is an excellent opportunity for candidates who are starting their career in Business Analysis, IT, or Data/Technology.

Responsibilities

• Gather and document business and functional requirements.
• Work with stakeholders to understand business needs and project objectives.
• Create Business Requirement Documents (BRDs) and functional documentation.
• Assist with process mapping and workflow documentation.
• Analyze business processes and identify areas for improvement.
• Create user stories, use cases, and acceptance criteria.
• Participate in meetings with business, technical, and project teams.
• Assist development and QA teams in understanding requirements.
• Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and defect tracking.
• Prepare reports, presentations, and project documentation.
• Track project requirements and help ensure deliverables meet business expectations.
• Communicate project updates and requirements clearly to stakeholders.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 0–2 years of experience in Business Analysis or a related field.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Ability to understand and document business requirements.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
• Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn.

Preferred Skills

• Basic knowledge of SQL.
• Familiarity with JIRA, Confluence, or similar project-management tools.
• Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodology.
• Basic knowledge of SDLC.
• Experience creating flowcharts/process diagrams using tools such as Visio, Lucidchart, or similar.
• Exposure to UAT, test cases, and defect management.
