PROJECT COORDINATOR / PROJECT MANAGER – MICROSOFT PROJECT

Mossville / Peoria, IL | 100% Onsite | 12-Month Contract

IMPORTANT CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

Candidates must currently reside within commuting distance of Mossville/Peoria, IL and be available to work onsite 5 days per week.

This is a direct W-2 contract position. Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States on a permanent basis without current or future employment sponsorship.

POSITION SUMMARY

We are seeking an experienced Project Coordinator / Project Manager to work with technical leads and support the planning, coordination, tracking, and execution of non-IT projects.

This is a hands-on project coordination role with a strong emphasis on Microsoft Project. The successful candidate will maintain detailed project plans, facilitate meetings, track action items, analyze schedule changes, perform critical path analysis, and translate complex project information into clear, actionable work.

Candidates MUST have recent hands-on Microsoft Project experience and should be prepared to demonstrate their Microsoft Project skills during the interview process.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop, maintain, and update detailed project plans using Microsoft Project.
• Coordinate projects and work closely with technical leads and project stakeholders.
• Facilitate project and control meetings.
• Gather tasks, updates, dependencies, and action items from team members.
• Track and drive action items through completion.
• Analyze changes to project schedules and plans.
• Perform week-over-week schedule variance analysis.
• Perform critical path analysis and identify schedule risks and dependencies.
• Break complex project information into smaller, understandable, actionable pieces of work.
• Coordinate technical activities and project deliverables.
• Monitor project progress, timelines, resources, and priorities.
• Prepare and present project updates, reports, findings, and supporting documentation.
• Work with internal stakeholders with varying priorities and personalities, often under tight deadlines.
• Identify issues and assist with problem resolution.
• Maintain clear and accurate project documentation.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• 2–4 years of project coordination or project management experience.
• Recent, hands-on Microsoft Project experience is REQUIRED.
• Strong experience creating, maintaining, and updating project plans.
• Experience tracking project schedules, tasks, milestones, dependencies, and action items.
• Understanding of critical path analysis and schedule variance analysis.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to facilitate meetings and drive action items to completion.
• Ability to work with technical leads and cross-functional stakeholders.
• Ability to take complex information and translate it into clear, actionable tasks.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a related field preferred; Associate degree candidates may also be considered.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• PMI or PMP certification.
• Experience supporting engineering, manufacturing, product development, or other technical projects.
• Experience with Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, Visio, and related project management tools.
• Knowledge of production processes, manufacturing, quality, costs, or resource planning.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

• Location: Mossville / Peoria, IL
• Work Arrangement: 100% onsite
• Schedule: Monday-Friday
• Contract Duration: 12 months
• Travel: Up to 25% domestic travel may be required
