Job Description:
ALM Subsurface Production Technologist
Seeking a Production Technologist to support the New Mexico Asset Lifecycle Management Subsurface team with data analytics, visualization, automation, regulatory reporting, and Plug & Abandonment (P&A) activities. This role will focus heavily on Power BI development, supported by Python, SQL, and Excel.
Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and enhance Power BI dashboards and reporting solutions.
• Use Python and SQL to automate reporting, data validation, and recurring workflows.
• Analyze production, well test, allocation, and subsurface data to provide actionable insights.
• Maintain data quality, troubleshoot discrepancies, and improve reporting processes.
• Support New Mexico regulatory reporting, including IP testing, SWD reporting, and NMOCD compliance.
• Prepare P&A packages, wellbore diagrams, technical documentation, and AFEs.
• Maintain regulatory and P&A tracking tools and audit-ready records.
• Partner with technical, operational, and business stakeholders to improve workflows.

Qualifications

• Strong Power BI experience, including Power Query, DAX, and data modeling.
• Experience with Python, SQL, and advanced Excel.
• Background in data analytics, visualization, automation, and data quality.
• Experience supporting oil & gas regulatory reporting.
• Upstream production, subsurface, well test, or allocation data experience preferred.
• New Mexico/NMOCD regulatory experience preferred.
• Experience with P&A workflows, wellbore documentation, and AFE generation is a plus.
• Energy Components experience is a plus.
