The Role • Assemble and lens fiber optic cables by reading diagrams and following product specifications. • Prepare fiber optic cable for polishing and execute the polishing process to meet stringent requirements. • Utilize hand tools, power tools, fixtures, and templates to align, fit, and assemble component parts into completed units. • Employ precision measuring instruments like micrometers, calipers, and height gauges to verify dimensions and ensure conformance to blueprints. • Inspect parts for defects, perform repairs, rework, and calibrate assemblies to meet operational tolerances. • Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to all established procedures and regulations. What You'll Need • High degree of manual dexterity for intricate assembly tasks. • Experience working with microscopes for product inspection and quality assurance. • Ability to follow standard operating procedures, assembly drawings, and traveler documents under supervision. • Familiarity with using various hand tools, power tools, fixtures, and templates for assembly. • Must be a U.S. Person due to ITAR regulations. • Basic understanding of measurement tools and blueprint interpretation.
