The Role

• Read and follow diagrams to assemble and lens fiber optic cables according to product specifications.
• Prepare fiber optic cable for polishing and complete the polishing process to specifications.
• Align, fit, and assemble component parts using hand tools, power tools, fixtures, and templates.
• Verify dimensions and clearances of parts using precision instruments like micrometers and calipers.
• Examine parts for defects, perform repairs, and calibrate assemblies to meet operational tolerances.
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment in compliance with established procedures.

What You'll Need

• High degree of manual dexterity.
• Ability to follow travelers, standard operating procedures, and basic assembly drawings under direct supervision.
• Experience using microscopes for product inspection.
• Familiarity with standard assembly concepts, practices, and procedures.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• U.S. Person status (U.S. citizen, U.S. national, lawful permanent resident, or individual granted asylum or refugee status) due to ITAR regulations.
