Software Development Engineer

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a Software Development Engineer to design, build, and operate STRADA, a large-scale cloud service. You will own highly available, low-latency distributed systems that support millions of customers, writing production-quality code, performing code reviews, and driving design decisions. Collaborate with product, UX, and other engineering teams to deliver secure, reliable features. You'll use data to improve performance, automate operations, and raise the bar on code quality, while continuously learning and mentoring in a fast-paced, customer-obsessed environment.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain scalable, secure backend services for STRADA on AWS.
• Write clean, testable, and efficient code and conduct peer code reviews.
• Own services in production, including monitoring, on-call, and incident resolution.
• Collaborate with product managers, UX, and other engineers to define and deliver features.
• Use metrics and data analysis to optimize performance, reliability, and cost.
• Automate build, test, and deployment processes using CI/CD and Ia
• C tools.
• Contribute to system and API design for highly available distributed systems.
• Ensure adherence to security, compliance, and operational best practices.
• Mentor junior engineers and share best practices within the team.
• Continuously learn and apply new AWS and cloud-native technologies.
