Location: Detroit, MI OR Charlotte, NC (Hybrid - 3 Days a week)
Duration: 12+ Months
Summary:
We are seeking a Project Manager to support a technology engineering team by driving execution discipline, delivery transparency, and governance rigor. Thi milestones, maintain JIRA hygiene, and support audit and compliance activities. The Project Manager will be accountable for ensuring work it well-structures
Key Responsibilities
Project Planning & Execution
Own and maintain end-to-end project plans, including scope, timelines, milestones, dependencies, and deliverables
Translate high-level initiatives into actionable tasks and milestones aligned with team capacity and priorities
Actively track execution progress and proactively identify risks, issues, and dependencies, driving mitigation plans
Run regular project status cadence (weekly bi-weekly), ensuring leadership has clear visibility into progress and blockers
JIRA & Delivery Management
Manage and maintain JIRA boards to ensure:
Epics, stories, and tasks are clearly defined, sized, prioritized, and assigned
Status, acceptance criteria, and dependencies are accurate and up to date
Sprint and milestone tracking reflects actual delivery progress
Partner with engineering leads to improve workflow efficiency, reporting accuracy, and delivery predictability
Produce and present JIRA-based metrics (velocity, burndown, milestone progress, risks.
Milestone & Dependency Management
Define and track key milestones across multiple initiatives
Coordinate cross team dependencies and anzure alignment on delivery commitments.
Escalate milestone risks early and clearly, with data and recommended actions.
Audit, Governance & Documentation
Support audit, risk, and compliance activities by Maintaining clear project documentation, artifacts, and evidence
Ensuring delivery artifacts (plans, approvals, traceability) meet governance expectations
Partnering with control, fisk or audit teams to respond to inquiries efficiently
Drive adherence to technology delivery standards, SDI C processes, and documentation requirements
Stakeholder Communication
Serve as a central pout of coordination between engineering, product, leadership, and external partners
Provide concise, executive ready updates on project health, timeline, and delivery naka
Ensure clarity on ownership, decisions, and next steps
Description:
Ensuring delivery artifacts (plans, approvals, traceability) meet governance expectations
Partnering with control, risk, or audit teams to respond to inquiries efficiently
Drive adherence to technology delivery standards, SDLC processes, and documentation requirements
Stakeholder Communication
Serve as a central point of coordination between engineering, product, leadership, and external partners
Provide concise, executive-ready updates on project health, timeline, and delivery risks.
Ensure clarity on ownership, decisions, and next steps.
Required Qualifications
4 5+ years of Project or Program Management experience supporting technology or software delivery teams.
Strong hands-on experience with JIRA (issue management, reporting, workflows)
Proven ability to manage complex timelines, milestones, and dependencies across multiple streams of work
Experience supporting audit, governance, or compliance efforts in a regulated environment.
Excellent organizational, communication, and stakeholder management skill
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working with Agile, Scrum, or hybrid delivery models.
Familiarity with SDLC controls, risk management, or technology governance frameworks
Background supporting engineering or platform teams in financial services of similarly regulated environments
PMP, CSM, or equivalent certification (preferred, not required)
