Cloud Security Engineer

Cloud Security & Governance Consulting 6-month contract to start, ideally C2H

Remote Role

Must Have Skill: Azure Cloud Security, Vulnerability, Patch Management, Defender, ZScaler

Project Scope

• Looking for someone who is proactive, takes initiative, and does not wait for direction to identify and address issues.
• Approximately 70% hands-on work focused on vulnerability management.
• Approximately 30% focused on documentation, policy management, compliance efforts, and audit readiness.

High-Level Individual Duties:

• Vulnerability management, patching, matching sure secure store goes up, random cloud audits, checking access, checking policies, etc.
• Manage and remediate security vulnerabilities across cloud environments.
• Oversee patch management activities and ensure timely remediation of identified risks.
• Maintain cloud security posture and monitor compliance with security standards.
• Support cloud security audits and assessments.
• Review user access controls and permissions.
• Evaluate, update, and enforce security policies and procedures.
• Assist with audit preparation and compliance documentation.

Must-Haves (Concepts & Tools):

• Strong experience with vulnerability management tools such as Microsoft Defender, Wiz, or similar platforms.
• Experience with patch management and remediation processes.
• Strong documentation skills, including policy and procedure creation.
• Experience supporting audit readiness and compliance initiatives.
