What You'll Do Perform preventative maintenance on Class 5-8 commercial vehicles and tank trailers Diagnose and repair brake, suspension, electrical, and air systems Complete truck and trailer inspections Perform wheel-end, tire, and preventive maintenance services Troubleshoot starting, charging, fuel, and HVAC systems Maintain DOT compliance standards and inspection requirements Complete repair orders and maintenance documentation accurately Work safely in a team-oriented shop environment Why Join KAG? $26.00 per hour (Birmingham, AL) Guaranteed pay increases based on training completion and verified experience Comprehensive benefits package: Medical, dental, vision, paid vacation and holidays, 401(k) with company match $100 annual boot allowance, paid in quarterly installments $250 Semi-Annual Tool Allowance after one year of service (up to $500 Annually) Extensive paid technician training Clear advancement path from entry-level maintenance to advanced diagnostics and inspection certifications Modern equipment and technology Stable, year-round work Pay Range: 21.00-31.00 , General Benefits: Benefits include medical, dental, vision and prescription coverage, a 401K program with company match, life insurance, short- and long-term disability, accident insurance, critical illness insurance and hospital indemnity insurance.

Requirements 1-5 years of diesel, fleet, truck, trailer, or heavy equipment preventive maintenance and repair of Class 5 - 8 commercial vehicles and tank trailer inspection Ability to frequently lift up to 50 lbs Valid Driver's License Must successfully pass a background check, MVR review, drug screen, and physical examination as a condition of employment due to the safety-sensitive nature of the position.
