We are looking for a Senior Cloud Security Engineer with strong experience in Golang and HashiCorp Vault to design, develop, and support enterprise-grade security platforms and cloud-native solutions.

Job Title: Senior Cloud Security Engineer (Golang & HashiCorp Vault)

Position Type: Long Term Contract

Location: New York, NY

Key Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and maintain enterprise-grade applications and security platforms using Golang.

Architect and implement secure secrets management solutions using HashiCorp Vault.

Develop and manage Vault authentication backends, secrets engines, policies, and plugins.

Design scalable and resilient cloud-native solutions across Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform environments.

Collaborate with security, application, and infrastructure teams to enforce security best practices.

Automate security operations using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and DevSecOps methodologies.

Build APIs, microservices, and platform services with high availability and scalability requirements.

Perform security reviews, threat modeling, vulnerability remediation, and compliance assessments.

Monitor platform performance and troubleshoot complex production issues.

Contribute to technical architecture decisions and mentor junior engineers.

Required Skills

5+ years of hands-on experience in Golang development.

Strong knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) and software design principles.

Expertise in:

HashiCorp Vault

Vault Enterprise Features

Secret Engines

Authentication Backends

Policy Management

Plugin Development

Experience with:

Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform

Kubernetes and Containers

REST APIs and Microservices

CI/CD and DevSecOps practices

Strong knowledge of:

Authentication & Authorization

Encryption and PKI

Security Compliance Frameworks

Distributed Systems Design

Preferred Skills

Terraform

Kubernetes/OpenShift

Service Mesh

SRE Practices

Observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk)
