Agile Business Analyst/Scrum Master

Location: Lewisville, TX (onsite)

Duration: 6 months with possibility of extension

Interview: Virtual

Pay Rate: $60/hr W2.

Industry: Vehicle Manufacturing/ Automobile / Automotive

Approximately 40% Scrum Master, 60% BA

Proven Business Analysis experience, including requirements gathering, backlog refinement, and stakeholder management.

Experience facilitating Agile/Scrum teams within a SAFe environment.

Working knowledge of connected vehicle systems, diagnostics, telemetry, and/or vehicle-to-cloud data flows.

Ability to effectively coordinate across multiple teams and stakeholders while driving delivery outcomes.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Some high level experience within automotive and connected vehicle domains is good.

5 days in office.

Agile Business Analyst / Scrum Master

Position Summary

This position supports connected vehicle and telematics solutions within a commercial vehicle environment.

The ideal candidate combines strong Agile delivery and business analysis capabilities with an understanding of vehicle communication systems, CAN/J1939 networks, ECU architectures, diagnostics, telemetry, and end-to-end data flows from vehicle systems to cloud-based applications.

We are seeking a highly motivated Lead Agile Business Analyst/Scrum Master to support Agile delivery teams by driving sprint execution, backlog management, requirements analysis, and process governance.

This role combines hands-on Scrum Master responsibilities with business analysis leadership.

The successful candidate will facilitate Agile ceremonies, manage Azure DevOps and/or Jira boards, partner with stakeholders to define requirements, and ensure work is properly documented, tracked, and aligned across development and testing teams.

Responsibilities:

Agile & Scrum Leadership

Facilitate Daily Standups, Sprint Planning, Sprint Reviews, Retrospectives, and Backlog Refinement sessions.

Manage sprint execution and team delivery processes.

Define and enforce work item management practices to ensure all work, including ad hoc requests, investigations, defects, enhancements, and technical debt, is properly documented, prioritized, and tracked within Azure DevOps and/or Jira.

Track and communicate risks, blockers, dependencies, and sprint health.

Coach teams on Agile best practices and continuous improvement.

Manage DevOps/Jira boards and work item lifecycle.

Develop dashboards, reports, queries, and delivery metrics.

Maintain board governance, traceability, and reporting.

Business Analysis

Gather and document business and functional requirements.

Lead requirement discovery and stakeholder discussions.

Facilitate discussions between business stakeholders, developers, architects, testers, and support teams to drive alignment and resolution of complex issues.

Create detailed requirements, process flows, User Stories, and acceptance criteria that support development, testing, and operational readiness activities.

Perform impact analysis and investigation activities.

Partner with development and QA teams to ensure requirements are understood and testable.

Documentation & Traceability

Ensure alignment between requirements, development work, testing activities, and releases.

Maintain process documentation and requirement artifacts.

Maintain traceability between business requirements, user stories, test cases, defects, and releases.

Support test planning and release readiness activities.

Required Qualifications

5+ years of Business Analysis experience.

5+ years facilitating Agile/Scrum teams.

Experience operating within a SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework) environment.

Experience within automotive, heavy-duty truck, commercial vehicle, telematics, or connected vehicle domains.

Working knowledge of connected vehicle systems, vehicle ECU architectures, CAN/J1939 communication networks, PGN/SPN concepts, vehicle telemetry, and end-to-end data flows between vehicle systems and cloud-based applications.

Ability to operate independently while partnering closely with Product Owners, development teams, testers, and business stakeholders to drive work from intake through release.

Advanced hands-on experience with Azure DevOps and/or Jira, including sprint setup, backlog management, work item hierarchy, dashboards, reporting, queries, workflows, and Agile governance.

Ability to translate technical concepts related to vehicle systems, diagnostics, telemetry, and software platforms into clear business requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, and testable outcomes.

Experience managing sprint boards, backlogs, and Agile reporting.

Strong requirements gathering and user story writing skills.

Experience working with software development and testing teams.

Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

Scrum Master certification (CSM or PSM)

Enterprise software delivery experience.

Experience supporting vehicle diagnostics, telemetry, remote diagnostics, fleet management, or OTA software update initiatives.

Experience working with CAN trace analysis tools, vehicle diagnostic data, DTCs, DBC files, or vehicle communication monitoring platforms.
