Project Manager I – Non-IT with hedge funds

Key Responsibilities

• Manage complex client onboarding, conversion, implementation, and new business projects from initiation through completion.
• Oversee approximately 3–5 client launches simultaneously, with a typical implementation timeline of approximately 12 weeks.
• Coordinate the conversion of client assets, processes, and procedures from current custodians to the organization.
• Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, milestones, deliverables, and assignments.
• Establish and maintain project governance using standard project management tools and artifacts.
• Coordinate planning, scheduling, reporting, issue tracking, and risk management activities.
• Identify project risks, issues, dependencies, and scope changes; escalate appropriately to management.
• Partner with internal teams including Operations, Product, Technology, Legal, and other business functions to ensure successful client onboarding and conversion.
• Serve as a primary point of coordination between clients and internal stakeholders.
• Manage client expectations and proactively address scope changes, project risks, and customized operating models.
• Drive accountability across multiple teams to ensure implementation milestones and deadlines are met.
• Lead client conversion and process improvement initiatives.
• Provide project leadership, recommendations, and solutions to support successful complex implementations.
• Monitor project progress and communicate status, risks, issues, and accomplishments to stakeholders and management.
• Ensure projects are delivered according to agreed timelines, requirements, and quality expectations.
• Maintain strong client relationships and ensure a high level of client satisfaction.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 5–10+ years of professional experience, preferably in project management or related functions.
• Proven experience managing projects involving multiple teams, stakeholders, systems, and operational dependencies.
• Strong project planning, organization, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience in client-facing and/or project management roles.
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and drive accountability toward shared deadlines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong problem-solving and risk-management capabilities.
