We are supporting a growing organisation with the appointment of a Regional HR Business Partner. This opportunity would suit an experienced HR Business Partner who enjoys working closely with operational leaders, providing pragmatic HR advice and making a genuine impact across a geographically dispersed workforce. The role is home-based, with regular travel required across the region, covering locations broadly between Nottingham and Newcastle. As such, the role would be particularly well suited to someone based around the Midlands, Scunthorpe, Lincolnshire or North Nottinghamshire, giving easy access to the wider patch. The Role

Working as a trusted HR partner to regional and operational leaders, you will provide a commercially focused, hands-on HR service across the full employee lifecycle. You will build strong relationships with managers, coaching and challenging them where appropriate, whilst ensuring HR policies, employment legislation and best practice are consistently applied.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Partnering with regional and operational leaders to understand business priorities and deliver effective people solutions.
  • Providing expert advice and guidance across the full employee lifecycle.
  • Managing and advising on complex employee relations matters, including disciplinary, grievance, absence, performance and capability cases.
  • Coaching and developing managers to improve confidence and capability in dealing with people issues.
  • Supporting organisational change, including restructures, redundancies, TUPE and other workforce initiatives.
  • Using HR data and workforce information to identify trends, risks and opportunities and inform business decisions.
  • Supporting performance management, talent, succession planning, engagement and retention initiatives.
  • Building strong relationships with senior stakeholders and acting as a credible HR advisor to the regional leadership team.
  • Ensuring HR policies and processes are applied consistently whilst providing pragmatic, commercially appropriate solutions.
  • Supporting wider HR projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Working collaboratively with colleagues across the wider HR function.

About You

We are looking for an experienced HR Business Partner who is confident operating in a multi-site or geographically dispersed environment.

You will ideally have:

  • Strong generalist HR and HR Business Partnering experience.
  • A solid understanding of UK employment legislation and best practice.
  • Strong experience managing complex employee relations cases.
  • Experience supporting organisational change, restructuring, redundancy and/or TUPE.
  • The confidence to coach, influence and constructively challenge managers at all levels.
  • A commercially minded and pragmatic approach to HR.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • CIPD Level 5 or above, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • A full UK driving licence and access to a car, due to the regional travel requirements.
