Description of the project:

• The projects led by the Supportive Housing Evaluation team and the Newborns in Shelter project have involved complex data matching processes using multiple sources of administrative data and other city agencies. 
• Ensuring robust data management and documentation is critical for transparency and reproducibility of these approaches when updating datasets with new records and for applying best practices when conducting matching for additional projects.

 Overview of role:

• Under the guidance of the Senior Research and Evaluation Scientist and the Senior Director of Research and Evaluation, this consultant will provide support for the Supportive Housing Evaluation projects and for the Newborns in Shelter project.
• Based on past professional experience conducting data matches and analysing earlier years of data for these projects, the consultant will provide services to project investigators by conducting data management and knowledge management activities.
• The consultant will ensure data privacy, confidentiality, and security throughout the matching process following data governance criteria.  

 Must have Skills:

• In support of the project evaluation:

• Create an analytic dataset using the matched records by adapting the code from previous matches.
• Create a new data dictionary for the main dataset as well we topic-specific datasets based on past data dictionaries.
• Document the process of creating the analytic dataset and annotate SAS code accordingly.

• Support the evaluation of the program by contributing to the creation of an analytic dataset, corresponding data dictionary, and annotating SAS code accordingly.
• Support the Health of People Experiencing Homelessness Report by contributing to the creation of an analytic dataset, corresponding data dictionary, and annotating SAS code accordingly.
• Review documentation for Newborns in Shelter matching, assist with filling in knowledge gaps and annotating SAS code accordingly.
