SAP Project Manager

Role: SAP Project Manager

Location:United States (onsite) - Rosemead, LA County, California
Key Responsibilities
Required Qualifications
Own the delivery of SAP migration projects (involving S/4HANA, BW/4HANA, Datasphere, SuccessFactors, etc. ).
Build and maintain the project plan, budget, resourcing and RAID log, and report status to executive sponsors and steering committees.
Coordinate functional leads, technical leads, integration teams and system integrator partners.
Manage scope, change requests, vendor contracts and SOW compliance.
Oversee testing, data migration, cutover, training and go-live readiness.
Apply SAP Activate, Agile, Waterfall or hybrid methodologies as appropriate.
Drive governance, quality assurance and compliance (SOX, audit and security controls where applicable).
Ensure a smooth transition to support and manage hypercare.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in IT, Engineering, Business or a related field.
10-15 years of overall IT experience, with 3-5 years as a project manager on SAP programs in the US.
Experience delivering at least 2 full-lifecycle SAP implementations or major rollouts.
Strong command of project management practices, including budgeting, risk management and stakeholder communication.
Working knowledge of SAP modules and architecture, plus the ability to engage credibly with functional and technical teams.
Excellent leadership, negotiation and communication skills.
PMP, PgMP, SAFe or SAP Activate certification.
Experience with S/4HANA transformation or RISE with SAP.
Background in utilities industry.
Experience managing offshore or onshore-offshore delivery teams.
