12-month contract South Australia Hybrid working

Your new role
This opportunity is suited to an experienced Senior Solutions Support Engineer who can combine enterprise application support and hands-on systems administration with strong customer service and business analysis capabilities. You'll support essential services across Australia and New Zealand, working remotely and onsite within essential service facilities.
You will:

  • Lead complex investigations across enterprise applications, Windows Server, IIS, SQL, integrations and kiosks
  • Analyse customer workflows and requirements to recommend practical technical solutions
  • Support kiosks, specialist peripherals and network connectivity
  • Coordinate incidents, upgrades and deployments, including configuration, controlled data changes and validation
  • Work closely with customer ICT teams, suppliers and internal technical specialists
  • Explain technical issues clearly to non-technical users and manage expectations through to resolution
  • Mentor Support Engineers and help strengthen team capability
  • Improve documentation, monitoring and support processes
  • Identify practical opportunities to use AI and automation

What you'll need to succeed
To be successful, you will bring:
  • Substantial enterprise application support experience
  • Hands-on Windows systems administration experience
  • A track record of independently resolving complex technical incidents
  • Strong Microsoft SQL Server and T-SQL investigation skills
  • Experience with data reconciliation, stored procedures and scheduled jobs
  • The ability to distinguish between application, data, configuration and infrastructure issues
  • Experience troubleshooting services, permissions, networks and integrations
  • The ability to translate business needs into clear technical requirements
  • Strong customer service and stakeholder communication skills
  • Experience guiding or mentoring technical colleagues
  • An interest in applying AI responsibly within technical support environments
You'll also require a current Australian driver's licence and access to a vehicle. You must be able to obtain and maintain the required security clearances, participate in an on-call roster and travel interstate, intrastate and potentially internationally. Some collaboration with UK-based colleagues outside standard business hours may also be required.
Desirable experienceExposure to the following would be highly regarded:
  • IIS, Active Directory and service accounts
  • Remote Desktop Services or Azure Virtual Desktop
  • Biometric devices, kiosks and specialist peripherals
  • APIs, data imports and exports, email/SMS services and HTTPS certificates
  • PowerShell, monitoring and automation
  • ITIL, change management and information security practices
  • Financial, retail, booking, scheduling or correctional applications
