Job Description

About the Role

As a Physical Therapist Assistant, you will help patients put their PT-established treatment plans into practice through hands-on rehabilitation and clear encouragement. This opening is part of a search for two rehabilitation providers across the clinic’s locations, giving you the opportunity to contribute directly to patients’ day-to-day progress. The full-time target is 40 patient visits per week, scheduled at one patient per hour, with typically four treatment units per visit. Full-time and part-time opportunities are available.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver treatment within the physical therapist’s established plan of care to help patients move toward their functional goals.
  • Guide patients through prescribed exercises and activities with attention to technique, safety, and treatment tolerance.
  • Observe patient responses and communicate progress, concerns, or changes to the supervising physical therapist.
  • Reinforce prescribed home exercises and patient education so patients understand how to continue their care between visits.
  • Document treatments, patient responses, and progress accurately to support continuity of care.
  • Coordinate relevant patient updates with the physical therapist and broader clinical team to keep care consistent.

Must-Have:

  • Appropriate PTA licensure or eligibility to obtain it before starting.
  • Ability to provide safe rehabilitation treatment within a physical therapist’s established plan of care.
  • Ability to recognize changes in patient response and communicate concerns promptly to the physical therapist.
  • Clear patient communication and accurate clinical documentation skills.
  • For full-time applicants, availability for a schedule ending at 7:00 PM on Monday and Wednesday and 5:00 PM on Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday.

No specialty certifications are required.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience providing care in an outpatient rehabilitation setting.
  • Experience collaborating with providers across multiple clinical disciplines.
  • Familiarity with electronic patient documentation systems.
  • Hourly pay of approximately $28, flexible based on experience.
  • Health insurance with 50% of the employee premium covered by the employer.
  • Dental insurance available.
  • SIMPLE IRA with a 3% employer match.
  • Two weeks of paid time off.
