Job Title: Healthcare Quality Assurance Analyst
Location: Albany, NY (Hybrid - typically 1-2 times per month)
Duration: 3 years (with potential for extension)
Start Date: Estimated - 10/1/2026
W2 Hourly Rate: $60/hour

Overview:
We are seeking a Healthcare Quality Assurance Analyst who will support our NYS client.
This role provides quality assurance testing and analytical support for hospital and healthcare claims data across Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial payers, with a focus on data completeness and compliance with documented business and program rules. The analyst will work independently and collaboratively with a SQL-proficient quality assurance and strategic advisory team.
Duties:
- Provide quality assurance testing and analytical support to evaluate hospital data and healthcare claims from multiple payers, including Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial plans.
- Work closely with a SQL-proficient team to help ensure data completeness and verify that business and program rules are met according to vendor-provided technical documentation.
- Work independently while contributing to solutions as part of a quality assurance and strategic advisory team.
- Complete assigned duties on time and proactively manage expectations with the team leader when timelines or deliverables are at risk.
Mandatory Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in a technical, scientific, or related field, or an equivalent combination of advanced education, training, and experience.
- 6+ years of healthcare industry experience.
- 3+ years’ experience in SQL and understanding of relational database principles.
- Experience analyzing large data sets.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
- Strong documentation, critical thinking, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
- Ability to build effective relationships with team members, stakeholders, colleagues, and clients through collaboration and a customer-focused approach.
Desirable Qualifications:
- Experience analyzing large data sets in healthcare.
- Experience with claims data across multiple Lines of Business (LOB).
- Experience with Extract, Transform, and Load (ETL) processes.
- Knowledge of Master Data Management (MDM) concepts.
- Experience with ANSI EDI X12 healthcare transaction sets and/or NCPDP transaction sets.
