Data Center Technician III

Title: Data Center Tech III/Chief Engineer

Type: Contract 6-12 months (Possible to extend or convert)

Location: Varenne- 5 day's onsite- Day shift / Core hours : 7 am - 3 pm or 8 am - 4 pm.

Shift/Core Hours: Day shift / Core hours - Must be flexible for emergency response, maintenance windows and occasional after-hours work

Compensation: $33- 35/Hour

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

• Monitor and operate critical data center infrastructure - preventative and corrective maintenance


• Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical equipment - emergencies and escalations


• Perform root-cause analysis after equipment failures - Work with technicians and vendors to resolve issues


• Train and mentor Engineering Operations Technicians

Must-Haves:

• 3 5+ years of data center, mission-critical facilities, or facilities engineering experience


• Bilingual in French


• Strong electrical /mechanical facilities experience - troubleshooting mission-critical infrastructure, preventative and corrective maintenance (hands on with environments including low and medium voltage, and mechanical systems including HVAC, cooling/ heating, medium voltage systems, ventilation, transfer switches, breakers, bus bars, and generators, control modules


• Excellent attitude (patient, go getter mentality, flexible, ability to deal with ambiguity) Bias for action, Ownership, Team work


• Experience reading technical documents, procedures and engineering drawings


• Experience leading or mentoring technical teams/ technicians and escalations / handling emergencies

Pluses:

• Data center engineering


• DC II/DC III certification


• NFPA 70E


• CFC certification


• PMP


• Lean/Six Sigma


• Experience training technical personnel


• Experience with commissioning or new data center construction
