Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Business Analyst with experience in the utilities sector, proficiency in SQL queries, and the ability to collaborate on . NET-based application development projects. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of mass market utility operations, requirements gathering, and translating business needs into technical solutions.


Key Responsibilities:

  1. Requirements Gathering & Analysis:
    • Collaborate with stakeholders to elicit, analyze, and document business requirements.
    • Facilitate workshops, interviews, and surveys to understand complex utility processes and identify pain points.
  2. Solution Development:
    • Work closely with developers to design customized .NET solutions that meet business needs.
    • Ensure solutions are scalable, efficient, and aligned with organizational goals.
  3. SQL Expertise:
    • Develop, optimize, and troubleshoot complex SQL queries to analyze data and support decision-making.
    • Collaborate with the data team to ensure seamless integration between applications and databases.
  4. Utilities Sector Expertise:
    • Leverage knowledge of mass market utility operations, including billing, metering, and customer service.
    • Stay up-to-date with regulatory and industry changes to anticipate business impacts.
  5. Project Management & Communication:
    • Serve as a bridge between business and technical teams, ensuring clear and effective communication.
    • Contribute to project planning, timelines, and deliverables.
    • Provide regular updates to stakeholders on project progress and risks.
  6. Quality Assurance & Documentation:
    • Support testing phases by developing test cases, reviewing test results, and ensuring defects are resolved.
    • Maintain detailed documentation for business requirements, processes, and system changes.

Qualifications:

  • Education:
    • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Experience:
    • 5+ years as a Business Analyst, preferably in the utilities sector.
    • Proven experience with SQL query development and optimization.
    • Familiarity with .NET frameworks and collaborative application development.
  • Skills & Competencies:
    • Strong understanding of utility processes such as billing, metering, and customer engagement.
    • Advanced SQL skills, including writing queries and analyzing large datasets.
    • Familiarity with .NET application design principles and development workflows.
    • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
    • Experience with Agile methodologies is a plus.
