Linux and Ansible Automation Engineer

The Role

• Design, deploy, and scale automated solutions for a modernizing enterprise environment.
• Develop automation frameworks and establish best practices for scalable infrastructure.
• Provide insight into Linux environments through automated monitoring, hardening, and optimization.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate pain points into automation solutions that reduce manual effort and risk.
• Identify opportunities for automation to make the biggest impact and contribute to long-term architecture.
• Mentor team members and communicate the value of automation to leadership.

What You'll Need

• 10+ years of experience administering Linux-based environments, such as Red Hat Enterprise Linux.
• Proven experience managing configuration at scale with Ansible, including enforcing consistency and writing idempotent playbooks.
• Experience using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) technologies (e.g., Ansible, Terraform, Salt, Puppet, Chef).
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Bash, Python, or PowerShell.
• Experience with U.S. federal government or DoD enterprise IT environments, including security compliance frameworks (STIG, RMF, NIST).
• Active TS/SCI clearance and willingness to take a polygraph exam.
