Senior DevOps Engineer – AWS/Couchbase

Job Description

Required Skills

• 5–10 years of experience in DevOps, SRE, Cloud Infrastructure, or a related engineering role.
• Strong hands-on experience with AWS.
• Strong understanding of DevOps and SRE principles, including reliability, monitoring, automation, incident management, and capacity planning.
• 2–5 years of Python experience, with the ability to develop automation and operational tools.
• 2–5 years of AWS S3 experience and familiarity with AWS storage and cloud services.
• 2–5 years of Terraform experience and strong knowledge of Infrastructure as Code.
• At least 1 year of hands-on Couchbase experience.
• Experience with Linux administration, networking, troubleshooting, and production systems.
• Experience developing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in distributed and cloud environments.
• Experience working in production environments with high availability and scalability requirements.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience operating Couchbase clusters at scale.
• Experience with Couchbase XDCR, replication, indexing, performance tuning, backup/restore, and cluster upgrades.
• Experience automating database provisioning and lifecycle management.
• Experience with AWS services such as EC2, IAM, CloudWatch, KMS, EBS, Auto Scaling, and networking services.
• Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience with observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk, or CloudWatch.
• Experience with configuration management and automation tools.
• Understanding of security, IAM, encryption, secrets management, and cloud security best practices.
• Experience participating in on-call rotations and production incident management.
