Business Architect
Location: Jersey City, New Jersey (Hybrid)
Role Overview
The Business Architect collaborates with business and technology subject matter experts to maintain and evolve the Risk and Finance Technology Capability Model. This role involves analyzing end-to-end processes, technology platforms, data models, and dependencies to develop strategic architecture roadmaps. The selected professional will document architectural recommendations and support overall architecture and strategy governance within the organization.
Key Responsibilities

• Partner with business and technology stakeholders to maintain and evolve the Risk and Finance Technology Capability Model.
• Analyze end-to-end processes, technology platforms, data models, and dependencies.
• Develop comprehensive architecture roadmaps and document strategic recommendations.
• Support established architecture and strategy governance frameworks.
• Translate complex business needs into technical requirements and track implementation against specifications.
• Design, build, and deliver components of large-scale technology projects.
• Perform logical data modeling, large-data-set analysis, and systems functional analysis.
• Develop and maintain business architecture models while implementing enterprise architecture strategies.

Required Qualifications
Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field of study is preferred.
Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience as a senior business or technical analyst, with a proven track record of documenting complex business processes. Experience in the banking industry, including a strong understanding of supporting applications and systems, is required.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in translating business needs into technical requirements, logical data modeling, large-data-set analysis, and systems functional analysis. Strong knowledge of Agile Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodologies and frameworks is required.
Preferred Qualifications

• Expertise in specific banking lines of business or banking regulations.
• Knowledge of software development practices, including the ability to read and analyze code.
• Expertise in conceptual, logical, and physical data modeling, master data management, lineage, metadata management, and business intelligence analytics.
• Exposure to database and data integration tools such as Oracle, MS SQL Server, DB2, HANA, Teradata, Hadoop, Spark, Informatica, DataStage, Tableau, or ERwin.
