IT Business Analyst

Position Details

Location: Lansing, MI (Local candidates within 90 miles)

Work Arrangement: Hybrid (Onsite Mondays & Tuesdays; No remote-only option)

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior IT Business Analyst to support web application maintenance and major project initiatives. You will act as the key liaison between technical development teams and business partners, leading requirement gathering, project tasks, and operational support.

Key Responsibilities

• Facilitate stakeholder meetings and lead requirement-gathering sessions independently.

• Serve as the bridge between technical teams, project managers, vendors, and business clients.

• Manage project tasks, timelines, change management policies, and status reports.

• Maintain backlogs, track sprints, and monitor work items in Azure DevOps.

• Maintain project documentation and gather complex application requirements for RFPs.

Requirements & Core Skills

• Required Skills:

  • Web Applications: 5+ years with complex IT web applications

  • Liaison Experience: 3+ years bridging dev teams and business clients

  • Business Analysis: 3+ years in software development projects

  • Communication & Leadership: 3+ years leading meetings and presentations

  • DevOps Tooling: 1+ year with Azure DevOps

• Preferred (Highly Desired) Skills:

  • SDLC: Strong knowledge of the Software Development Lifecycle

  • Documentation Tools: Microsoft SharePoint

  • CRM / Platforms: Salesforce and MS Dynamics 365

  • Project Management: Knowledge of PM methodologies
