Dynamics 365 Solution Architect

What this person does

Owns the solution architecture and the Dataverse data model for a state licensing and permitting platform. Leads requirements validation and the architecture and design deliverables in the first six weeks, then provides oversight through build, integration and cutover.

Must have

•      Three or more years as a Dynamics 365 or Power Platform Solution Architect in a lead architecture role, not a developer who attended design meetings

•      Dataverse data modeling: tables, relationships, choice sets, business rules, security roles and business units

•      Model-driven app architecture, plus at least one Power Pages customer-facing portal within a solution they designed

•      Integration architecture using Azure Functions, Logic Apps, Service Bus or equivalent, including error handling and retry design

•      Environment and ALM strategy: solution layering, managed and unmanaged solutions, Dev to Test to Production promotion

•      Has personally authored an architecture and design document that a client formally accepted as a contract deliverable

•      Licensing, permitting, registration, inspections, case management or regulatory CRM domain experience

•      Public sector client experience, state or local government preferred

Nice to have

•      Legacy Oracle to Dataverse migration involvement

•      Oregon or Pacific Northwest state agency experience

•      Security controls response experience, for example a statewide security standards checklist or FedRAMP inherited controls

•      Accessibility and WCAG 2.1 AA awareness in solution design

Certifications to look for

•      PL-600 Power Platform Solution Architect, strongly preferred. Ask for the certification ID

•      PL-200 Power Platform Functional Consultant

•      MB-280 Dynamics 365 Customer Experience Analyst, or a legacy MB-2xx equivalent

•      AZ-305 Azure Solutions Architect Expert is a plus for the integration and hosting story
