Job Description
The AWS Solutions Architect is responsible for designing, governing, and implementing secure, scalable, resilient cloud solutions supporting enterprise banking applications and modernization initiatives. This role partners with business, engineering, security, and infrastructure teams to define cloud strategies, establish architecture standards, and drive adoption of AWS cloud capabilities while ensuring compliance, security, and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
  • Design enterprise-scale AWS architectures supporting modernization initiatives.
  • Define cloud migration and transformation strategies.
  • Develop reference architectures, reusable patterns, and architecture standards.
  • Lead architecture reviews and technology evaluations.
  • Create secure cloud designs aligned with regulatory requirements.
  • Partner with development teams to implement cloud-native solutions.
  • Define multi-region and disaster recovery architectures.
  • Establish Infrastructure as Code standards using Terraform and CloudFormation.
  • Drive container and Kubernetes adoption strategies.
  • Design API-first and event-driven integration patterns.
  • Collaborate with Security and Risk teams to satisfy governance requirements.
  • Optimize cloud cost, performance, and reliability.
  • Mentor engineers and solution architects.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • 10+ years of IT experience.
  • 5+ years of AWS architecture experience.
  • Experience designing enterprise-scale cloud platforms.
  • Experience with cloud migration programs.
  • Strong AWS networking, security, and compute expertise.
  • Experience with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code.
  • Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Experience with microservices and API architectures.
  • Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • AWS Solutions Architect Professional Certification.
  • Financial Services or Banking experience.
  • Experience with AI/ML platforms.
  • Experience with event-driven architectures.
  • Experience in enterprise modernization programs.
