About the Role
Our client, a leading Fortune 50 retailer known for its innovative digital experiences and customer-focused marketing strategies, is seeking an experienced Project Manager – Customer Data Platform (CDP) for a contract assignment. This role supports a marketing technology organization responsible for customer data, identity resolution, audience management, personalization, and data-driven marketing capabilities.
The Project Manager will partner with cross-functional teams across technology, data, product, marketing, and business functions to drive execution of key Customer Data Platform initiatives. This position is ideal for a highly organized professional with experience managing complex technology or data-focused projects in a fast-paced environment.

Job Description
As a Project Manager supporting Customer Data Platform initiatives, you will be responsible for coordinating project activities, maintaining visibility across multiple workstreams, tracking milestones and dependencies, and ensuring stakeholders have clear insight into project progress, risks, and deliverables.
Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain detailed project plans, timelines, milestones, dependencies, and action logs for assigned initiatives.
  • Coordinate activities across product, engineering, data, marketing, and business teams to ensure timely execution of project deliverables.
  • Track multiple concurrent projects and maintain visibility into project status, dependencies, key decisions, and critical milestones.
  • Create and distribute project status reports, dashboards, and executive-ready updates highlighting progress, risks, blockers, and next steps.
  • Maintain standardized project documentation, meeting notes, intake processes, prioritization trackers, and action registers.
  • Identify, document, monitor, and escalate project risks, issues, and dependencies to appropriate stakeholders.
  • Facilitate project meetings, working sessions, and stakeholder discussions while documenting decisions and follow-up actions.
  • Support delivery of strategic quarterly objectives by monitoring project progress and reporting against established milestones.
  • Ensure accurate project tracking and timely communication across technical and business teams.

Qualifications
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
  • Experience in project or program management supporting complex technology, data, or digital transformation initiatives.
  • Experience working with Customer Data Platforms (CDPs), customer data ecosystems, identity resolution, audience management, or marketing technology platforms.
  • Strong knowledge of project planning, milestone tracking, dependency management, issue resolution, and risk mitigation.
  • Experience creating project dashboards, status reports, leadership updates, and executive summaries.
  • Proficiency maintaining project documentation, intake processes, action-tracking systems, and project governance artifacts.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with both technical and business stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting retail, loyalty, personalization, customer engagement, digital marketing, or customer-facing technology initiatives.
  • Experience working with Agile product and engineering teams, including sprint planning, roadmap management, and quarterly planning processes.
  • Experience supporting enterprise-scale data, analytics, or digital transformation programs
