Job Description

This role is hybrid in Woburn, MA or Cary, NC Tues-Thurs
Key Responsibilities

  • Manage Holistic Project Budgets: Track project budgets, forecasts, and variances; provide regular reporting and quality control; and manage budget-related changes throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Coordinate Purchasing & Vendor Sourcing: Coordinate purchasing and sourcing activities for direct Product Development Team vendors, primarily supporting hardware and software solutions such as BMS, security, and operations platforms. Responsibilities include obtaining quotes, managing purchase orders, tracking deliveries, and reconciling invoices.
  • Lead Commissioning & Project Closeout: Provide project leadership and coordination throughout the commissioning phase through final project closeout.
  • Coordinate Cross-Functional Project Activities: Partner closely with Construction, Supply Chain, and Operations teams to coordinate schedules, submittals, long-lead equipment, commissioning activities, and project closeout requirements.
  • Maintain Project Controls: Develop and maintain integrated project schedules, key milestones, execution plans, RAID logs, project trackers, and status reports to ensure effective project oversight and communication.
  • Support Project Readiness & Turnover: Coordinate readiness planning, turnover activities, and punch-list resolution to support a successful transition through project completion.

Required Qualifications

  • 7+ years of project management experience in data center or other mission-critical construction environments, preferably on the owner or operator side rather than the General Contractor (GC) side. Candidates should have direct experience managing project budgets and vendor relationships, not solely project schedules.
  • Working knowledge of data center MEP systems, including switchgear, UPS systems, generators, cooling systems, BMS, and physical security. Candidates are not expected to design these systems but should understand the equipment being procured and be able to identify potential issues with submittals.
  • Direct experience managing vendor procurement and purchasing & sourcing (P&S) within a corporate procurement environment.
  • Strong proficiency with Excel and Smartsheet or equivalent project management tools. PMP certification is preferred but not required.

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while effectively managing priorities, deadlines, and cross-functional responsibilities.
