Job Summary

Value Technology Inc. is seeking an experienced Confluent Kafka Administrator with strong hands-on expertise in Apache Kafka, Confluent Platform, Terraform, GitHub Actions, and CI/CD automation. The ideal candidate will be responsible for administering, configuring, securing, automating, and supporting enterprise Kafka environments while implementing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and DevOps best practices.

The candidate will collaborate with application, infrastructure, DevOps, and Mainframe teams to maintain reliable Kafka integrations, particularly Confluent Kafka IBM MQ Source and Sink Connectors.

Key Responsibilities

• Experienced Confluent Kafka Administrator with strong expertise in Apache Kafka, Confluent Platform, Terraform, GitHub
• Actions, and CI/CD automation. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, administering, automating, and supporting enterprise Kafka platforms while implementing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and DevOps best practices.
• Confluent Kafka Platform Management
• Manage Confluent Cloud or Confluent Platform resources using Terraform.
• Provision and maintain using Terraform :
• Kafka Clusters
• Topics
• Service Accounts
• API Keys
• Schema Registry
• Implement Kafka security controls including RBAC, ACLs, TLS, and service accounts.
• Support production and non-production Kafka environments.

Confluent Kafka Connect Administration

• Collaborate closely with Mainframe teams to support the maintenance, upgrades, troubleshooting, and ongoing operations of Confluent Kafka IBM MQ Source and Sink Connectors
• Deploy and manage Confluent Kafka Connect source/sink connectors.
• Troubleshoot Confluent Kafka Connect source/sink connectors failures, task errors, and performance issues.
