Job Requirements Job Title: FinOps Architect – AWS & GenAI Cost OptimizationProject Location: NYC /NY (onsite)Job SummaryWe are seeking an experienced FinOps Architect with strong expertise in AWS cloud cost optimization, financial governance, and AI/GenAI cost management. The candidate will drive cloud cost efficiency, optimize AI infrastructure spending, and establish financial governance for LLM and GenAI workloads.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign and implement AWS FinOps strategies, including Savings Plans, Reserved Instances, and compute optimization.Drive Kubernetes/container cost allocation, tagging, and cloud financial governance.Optimize AI/ML and GenAI infrastructure costs, including GPU utilization and LLM inference.Establish tokenomics governance and monitor LLM token consumption.Optimize GenAI costs through model selection, prompt caching, and context window management.Implement AI-driven cost automation, anomaly detection, and forecasting.Develop cloud cost dashboards and executive-level financial reports.Partner with engineering, architecture, and finance teams on TCO, ROI, and CapEx/OpEx optimization.Required Skills & Experience10+ years of overall experience in cloud computing, infrastructure, or IT financial management.5+ years of hands-on FinOps and AWS cloud cost optimization experience.3+ year of experience managing AI/ML infrastructure costs or LLM/GenAI token governance.Strong knowledge of AWS architecture, Kubernetes, cloud billing, and cost allocation.Understanding of GPU optimization, vector databases, LLM inference, context windows, and prompt caching.Knowledge of FinOps Framework (Inform, Optimize, Operate), FOCUS, and Tokenomics.Strong financial understanding of TCO, ROI, and CapEx/OpEx.Mandatory CertificationsFinOps Certified Practitioner (FCP) or FinOps Certified Professional.AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate or AWS Certified SysOps Administrator – Associate.Good to HaveFinOps Foundation AI Value or Technology Value certifications.Experience with data visualization, cost analytics, and automation.Academic background in Finance, Business, Computer Science, or Data Science.Work Experience 10-15Years
