Clinical Program Sourcing & Contracting Manager

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Review, assess, and execute clinical trial contracts.
• Manage a high volume of change orders/amendments.
• Review contracts and independently determine required updates.
• Work directly with vendors to implement appropriate contractual changes.
• Support contracts across CRO services, technology, and laboratory services.
• Review contract packages and perform contract auditing.
• Identify pricing or budget items that appear significantly outside expected ranges and flag them appropriately.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders and vendors to move contracts through completion.
• Quickly learn the assigned body of work and operate with limited day-to-day supervision.

Top Skills / Must-Haves

1. Clinical Trial Contracting Expertise Strong hands-on experience reviewing and managing contracts specifically related to clinical trials.
2. Clinical Trial Contract Negotiation Experience working with vendors and negotiating contractual terms, amendments, and change orders.
3. Contract Auditing / Budget Understanding Ability to audit contract packages and understand clinical trial budgets well enough to identify and flag unusual or out-of-range costs.

Most important requirement: Candidates must have clinical trial-specific contracting and/or outsourcing experience. General procurement experience without clinical trial exposure is not sufficient for this short-term assignment.

Experience Requirements

• Ideal: 5 7+ years of relevant experience.
• Approximately 5 years is preferred as a baseline because contractors need to become productive quickly.
• The manager is flexible on years of experience if the candidate demonstrates strong clinical trial contracting expertise.
• More senior candidates will also be considered; there is no stated upper experience limit.
