Position: Semarchy MDM Consultant / Lead

Location: New York Metro area (3 days a week)

Duration: 2-3 Years+

Rate: Negotiable

Note: This is a hybrid position, and the candidate MUST be local to the NYC Metro area (First priority). The client expects 3 days a week in their mid-town office location.

Description:

The opportunity is at a global top-tier Alternative Investments Management firm for a Sr. MDM Engineer/Lead with specific experience in Semarchy (ideally with Financial Services/Asset Management clients), who has experience leading a small team, and is very hands-on. Opportunities at this client tend to be very long term (some consultants have been there for many years), so if the candidate does well, it could be a very stable situation. They want a candidate who can clearly demonstrate, in their professional experience, that they have both led teams and executed MDM projects end-to-end from defining business requirements (collaborating with senior business clients) and leading a tech team to implement it.

The critical skillsets and experience they are seeking:

• Strong communication and analytical/problem-solving skills, including experience interacting with businesspeople.

• Experience with Semarchy is a must, and ideally also ETL/ELT, Data Modeling, Snowflake, DBT/Fivetran, Azure Data Factory (ADF), Fina or similar technologies.

• This will need to be a highly competent senior consultant, who has managed small teams and business/tech leadership. Most of their current consultants (and employees) are from other blue-chip investment banks and global financial institutions.

• Experience with mutual funds distribution and the asset management business is a very desirable.

• They want someone who has been on longer-term projects, because they see only short-term assignments as a red flag (particularly for any reasonably complex MDM project).

• Must possess strong logical and critical thinking skills.

• The culture is very typical of a wall street investment bank that expects high-end competency, commitment, and availability to get things done as the client demands
