Production Manager – Newark, NJ

Client –  Manufacturing

Key Responsibilities

• Manage full department operations across multiple shifts (staffing, procurement, maintenance, batchmaking, packaging, QC, shipping)
• Drive safety, environmental, and quality compliance
• Own staffing levels, scheduling, and OT planning to meet production demand
• Coach and develop team leadership skills; foster a culture of trust and transparency
• Apply Lean/5S/Continuous Improvement methods to drive operational excellence
• Manage cost tracking and hazardonon-hazardous waste compliance
• Serve as key decision-maker/troubleshooter for the site

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree (Engineering or technical field preferred)
• 6+ years of production/plant management experience, ideally in chemical manufacturing or batch operations
• Strong people-management, communication, and conflict-resolution skills
• Experience working in a matrixed organization
• Local to Newark; onsite 5 days/week
