Job Description:

Apex Systems is looking to hire an ONSITE Manufacturing Quality Engineer for our client based out of Macungie, PA.

This assignment is anticipated to be a 3-month contract with strong potential for extension; however, Apex Systems cannot guarantee the length of this assignment.

This will also have a first-shift Monday-Friday schedule.

Responsibilities:
  • Support production quality initiatives by ensuring manufacturing processes consistently meet quality standards and customer requirements.
  • Investigate quality concerns, nonconformances, and production issues, driving containment actions, corrective actions, and long-term preventive solutions.
  • Lead and facilitate structured problem-solving activities using root cause analysis methodologies.
  • Serve as the primary quality liaison between manufacturing, engineering, supply chain, quality, and other cross-functional teams.
  • Coordinate quality activities within assigned manufacturing areas to support operational and business objectives.
  • Analyze internal and external quality performance data to identify trends, risks, and improvement opportunities.
  • Develop, maintain, and communicate quality performance metrics, dashboards, charts, and reports to stakeholders.
  • Support implementation and compliance of quality systems, procedures, and standards.
  • Lead or participate in continuous improvement initiatives, Kaizen events, and quality improvement projects.
  • Coordinate and support quality-related training activities for production teams.
  • Assist with documentation, audits, and compliance activities related to quality management systems.
  • Drive a culture of quality awareness, accountability, and continuous improvement throughout the manufacturing environment.

Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline.
  • OR Associate degree in Engineering with 2+ years of manufacturing experience.
  • OR Quality Inspection certification or equivalent quality experience with 2+ years of quality inspection experience.
  • Experience working in a manufacturing, production, quality, or engineering environment preferred.
  • Experience utilizing structured problem-solving methodologies such as:
    • Root Cause Analysis
    • Nonconformance Investigations
    • Kaizen
    • 5W2H
    • Fishbone Analysis
    • Corrective and Preventive Actions
  • Ability to analyze quality and operational data to identify trends and drive improvements.
  • Strong understanding of technical specifications, manufacturing processes, and quality standards.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and documentation skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects within a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.


Technical Skills:
  • Microsoft Excel
  • Microsoft Word
  • Microsoft PowerPoint
  • Power BI
  • Experience working with quality metrics, dashboards, reporting tools, and performance analytics.
  • Ability to maintain organized quality documentation and records.


Nice to Have:
  • Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) certification.
  • Six Sigma certification or quality improvement training.
  • Experience supporting ISO quality systems and audit activities.
  • Manufacturing quality engineering experience in high-volume production environments.
  • Experience leading Kaizen events and cross-functional improvement initiatives.
