Job Description

Looking for a recruitment role where you can put your experience to good use without needing an HR qualification?

We're recruiting for a Recruitment Administrator to join the central recruitment team of a multi-school trust, supporting recruitment across three schools. If you have recruitment experience and enjoy keeping processes organised, this is a great opportunity to focus on the administrative side of recruitment and onboarding.

Paying 13.73 per hour, this is a six-month temporary opportunity offering just 20 hours per week, term-time only. With no CIPD qualification or formal HR background required, you can put your existing recruitment skills to good use in a varied role supporting school recruitment teams.
What will you be doing as a Recruitment Administrator?

  • Supporting recruitment administration and onboarding across three schools.
  • Preparing interview packs and making sure hiring managers have everything they need.
  • Processing job offers and helping new starters complete their paperwork.
  • Chasing references and checking that pre-employment documentation is complete.
  • Processing DBS checks and monitoring progress to support safeguarding requirements.
  • Managing recruitment queries through a shared inbox and updating systems, including TES.
  • Posting job adverts and keeping recruitment records accurate and up to date.
  • Providing wider administrative support, including absence records, special leave forms and welfare calls

What's in it for you?

  • 13.73 per hour for your recruitment experience.
  • Part-time hours of just 20 hours per week.
  • Choice of working pattern: either 8am-12pm or 12pm-4pm, subject to the team's requirements.
  • Term-time-only working, offering a different working pattern to a year-round role.
  • No HR qualification required your recruitment knowledge and administration experience are what matter.
  • Variety in your day: support recruitment and onboarding across three schools.
  • Valuable experience: develop your skills within a central recruitment function and contribute to improving recruitment processes.

Why would you join this company?

  • You'll be joining the central recruitment team of a multi-school trust, helping bring recruitment administration together across three schools.
  • You'll work with school-based managers and a range of stakeholders, playing an important part in keeping recruitment processes organised, consistent and running smoothly.
  • This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys recruitment but would prefer to focus on administration, coordination and onboarding rather than a traditional recruitment consultant role or a generalist HR position.

What we're looking for
What's essential:

  • Previous recruitment experience and a good understanding of the recruitment lifecycle.
  • Experience supporting recruitment administration and onboarding.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Experience maintaining recruitment documentation, tracking outstanding information and keeping records up to date.

What's helpful but not essential:

  • Experience working in a school, education setting or multi-academy trust.
  • Familiarity with TES or another recruitment or applicant tracking system.
  • Experience coordinating DBS checks and pre-employment screening.

The Essentials
Pay: 13.73 per hour.
Hours: 20 hours per week, Monday to Friday, either 8am12pm or 12pm4pm.
Working pattern: Term-time only.
Location: Confidential multi-school trust, supporting three schools.
Job type: Temporary, six-month assignment, expected to run until April.
DBS: An enhanced DBS check is required. An existing DBS on the Update Service isn't essential, as a risk-assessed start may be considered while checks are completed, subject to the organisation's safeguarding procedures and approval.
