Principal Enterprise & Cloud IT Architect - Energy & Utilities

Constellation Energy is seeking a Principal IT Architect to lead enterprise architecture for critical energy platforms and corporate systems. In this role, you will define technology standards, cloud and data architectures, and integration patterns that support secure, reliable, and scalable operations. You will partner with business, security, and operations teams to modernize legacy environments, guide cloud adoption, and ensure compliance for critical infrastructure. As a senior technical leader, you will mentor teams, govern solution designs, and shape long-term architectural roadmaps that advance innovation and sustainability initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Design and lead enterprise IT architecture for grid, market, and corporate systems
• Define technology standards, reference architectures, and integration patterns
• Partner with business, security, and operations teams to align IT solutions to strategy
• Evaluate and select cloud, data, and platform technologies for scalability and resilience
• Guide modernization of legacy systems and migration to cloud-native architectures
• Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and governance across delivery teams
• Ensure architectures meet reliability, cybersecurity, and compliance requirements
• Create architecture roadmaps, diagrams, and documentation for stakeholders
• Review solution designs to ensure adherence to enterprise architecture
• Support planning and execution of large, cross-functional technology programs
