Data Analyst

IDR is seeking a Data Analyst to join one of our top clients for a remote opportunity.
This role involves supporting a time-sensitive financial audit by retrieving and organizing historical financial data from legacy systems and archives. The organization specializes in the public sector, focusing on financial processes within educational institutions and government agencies.
Position Overview for the Data Analyst:

• Assist with locating, extracting, and organizing financial records from archived datasets and legacy ERP systems.
• Write complex SQL queries to retrieve requested data efficiently.
• Evaluate the structure, accessibility, and integrity of archived financial data.
• Reconstruct or restore legacy databases as needed to ensure data availability.
• Collaborate with financial analysts and audit stakeholders to meet project deadlines.

Requirements for the Data Analyst:

• Advanced SQL querying skills for complex data extraction across multiple datasets.
• Experience working with archived databases, restoring backups, and importing legacy data.
• Knowledge of accessing and retrieving data from legacy ERP systems.
• Familiarity with Snowflake or similar cloud data platforms is highly preferred.
• Prior experience with financial or public sector data sets is a plus.
