Human Resources Field Manager

Suburban Propane seeks a Human Resources Field Manager to support our utility and energy field operations. In this role, you'll partner with local leaders across multiple locations to deliver hands-on HR support, including employee relations, performance management, and recruitment for residential, commercial, and industrial teams. You will ensure regulatory and safety-related HR compliance, guide managers through coaching and corrective action, and coordinate training and development programs. This role is ideal for an HR professional who enjoys being in the field, building relationships, and supporting a safety-focused, customer-first culture.

Responsibilities

• Partner with field leadership to execute HR strategies across assigned territories
• Oversee employee relations, investigations, and performance management
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and company policies
• Support recruitment, onboarding, and workforce planning for field roles
• Coordinate training, safety, and development programs with local managers
• Guide managers on coaching, corrective action, and conflict resolution
• Analyze HR metrics to identify trends and recommend action plans
• Support change management and organizational initiatives in field operations
• Promote a culture of safety, integrity, and customer focus
• Collaborate with corporate HR on programs, policies, and process improvements
