 About the Opportunity

Client is undergoing a significant transformation from traditional project-based funding and governance to a Lean Portfolio Management and Value Stream funding model. This transformation includes the establishment of enterprise portfolio governance, value realization practices, investment management processes, and implementation of Planisware as the strategic portfolio management platform.

We are seeking an experienced Enterprise Portfolio Transformation Lead to partner with Strategic Tech Operations, PMO, finance, technology, s to design and operationalize the people, process, governance, and tool capabilities required to support this transformation.

This role will serve as a strategic advisor and implementation lead responsible for standing up an enterprise Portfolio Investment Office consisting of Intake & Governance, Lean Portfolio Management, and Value Management Office functions while ensuring successful adoption of Planisware.

Key Responsibilities

Portfolio Operating Model Design

Lead the design and implementation of the enterprise portfolio management framework, including:

• Lean Portfolio Management (LPM)
• Value Management Office (VMO)
• Portfolio Governance
• Value Stream funding model best practices and ceremonies
• Demand management and intake processes, following Lean business cases
• Portfolio investment governance
• Benefit realization framework
• Enterprise decision-making forums
• Portfolio operating cadence and ceremonies

Develop and document:

• Organizational design
• Governance structures
• Decision rights
• RACI models
• Escalation paths
• Portfolio policies and standards
• Operating procedures

Planisware Strategy & Implementation

Serve as the business lead for Planisware implementation and adoption.

Partner with technical teams and vendors to design and configure:

• Portfolio hierarchy
• Value Stream structures
• Investment taxonomy
• Strategic themes and objectives
• Epic and initiative lifecycle management
• Roadmaps and planning processes
• Financial planning and funding workflows
• Capacity management
• Resource planning
• Benefits tracking
• Executive dashboards and reporting

Drive integration requirements in conjunction with Amanda Bell: 

• Jira, Aha, Clarity
• Agile delivery tools
• Financial systems
• Portfolio reporting platforms

Governance and Investment Management

Design and implement portfolio governance processes including:

• Portfolio Kanban management
• Investment intake and evaluation
• Lean Business Case review
• MVP funding model
• Full funding approval process
• Participatory budgeting
• Portfolio prioritization
• Capacity allocation
• Executive portfolio reviews

Assistance in Establish governance forums such as:

• Portfolio Governance Board
• Portfolio Sync
• Strategic Portfolio Review
• Quarterly Business Reviews
• Value Realization Reviews

Required Qualifications

Experience

• 10+ years of enterprise portfolio management, PMO, VMO, or strategy execution experience
• Proven experience implementing Lean Portfolio Management practices
• Experience establishing Portfolio Investment Offices, PMOs, or Value Management Offices
• Experience with Value Stream funding and governance models
• Experience leading large-scale organizational transformations
• Experience implementing enterprise portfolio management platforms
