Senior User Experience (UX) Specialist - Hybrid

Genesis10 is currently seeking a Senior User Experience (UX) Specialist for a Hybrid position with an Agricultural Cooperative located in Inver Grove Heights, MN. This is a 10+ month contract opportunity.
Compensation: $87.00 - $90.00 per hour, W2, based on qualifications
Position Overview:
This role will join a growing UX Center of Excellence to provide support for the IT Digital team. The successful candidate will create a seamless, intuitive, creative, and effective user and customer experience across the entire product portfolio, leading the development of innovative and functional end-to-end experiences and interfaces for a variety of personas to align with the company's digital transformation strategy.
Key Responsibilities:

• Design the user experience of digital products and online applications by developing wireframes, prototypes, page flow / task flow designs, and navigation/information architecture
• Analyze and understand problems in order to develop creative, forward-thinking solutions
• Ensure user experience designs are firmly rooted in usability standards, accessibility compliance, and industry best practices
• Provide UX leadership in collaboration with business product owners and engineers to deliver compelling designs to market, satisfying our goals and enhancing our product set
• Procure and use data, including testing methods and KPIs, to identify ways to improve the user experience
• Conduct your own user interviews and heuristic evaluations, design and moderate usability tests, and facilitate group activities such as persona workshops
• Effectively communicate and align with both highly technical teams and nontechnical business teams
• Work with others in the UX Center of Excellence to develop and advocate for sound UX approaches across the organization
• Contribute to the evolution and maintenance of the product design system and UI kits
• Participate in efforts to adopt AI-driven activities and tools into our design process
• Maintain and promote a strong safety culture and follow all safety policies, procedures and regulations

Primary Requirements:

• 4+ years of experience designing or leading the design of user interfaces for web and mobile apps
• Follow user-centered design principles with experience including:
• Developing prototypes and participating in innovation exercises
• Knowledge and expertise in visual design
• Fundamental research activities, such as conducting interviews, running usability tests, and facilitating persona workshops
• Evolving and implementing UX / UI standards in large complex ecosystems
• Knowledge and practical application of accessibility factors
• Proficiency with design tools, specifically Figma
• Experience designing for mobile and / or responsive web

Desired Skills:

• 7+ years of experience designing and leading the design of user interfaces for web / mobile app, following user-centered design principles
• Familiarity with CSS and HTML
• Working knowledge of Material Design and the Angular Material front-end framework
• Knowledge and experience working in Agile/Scrum framework
• Knowledge of Agriculture industry
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the proven ability to collaborate and drive change across all levels of an organization
