This is a great opportunity for an Assistant Project Manager looking to take the next step or an established Project Manager who wants to gain exposure to larger, more complex projects.
The ideal candidate has experience working for a general contractor, design-build firm, or EPC organization and enjoys being involved in the day-to-day execution of construction projects.
What You'll Be Doing
- Support the planning, coordination, and execution of construction projects from preconstruction through completion.
- Work closely with superintendents, subcontractors, engineers, and project leadership to keep projects moving forward.
- Assist with project budgets, schedules, cost tracking, forecasting, and overall project performance.
- Coordinate subcontractor activities, procurement, materials, and project resources.
- Manage project documentation, RFIs, submittals, change orders, and progress reporting.
- Monitor construction progress to ensure safety, quality, schedule, and budget expectations are met.
- Communicate with clients, project stakeholders, and internal teams to resolve challenges and maintain project timelines.
- Participate in project meetings, site visits, and ongoing construction planning.
What We're Looking For
- Experience in construction project management, project engineering, or assistant project management.
- Background working with a general contractor, design-build contractor, EPC firm, or similar construction organization.
- Experience supporting construction projects across water/wastewater, utilities, heavy civil, industrial facilities, mission-critical infrastructure, data centers, or related sectors.
- Understanding of construction schedules, budgets, subcontractor coordination, and project execution.
- Ability to work collaboratively with field teams, superintendents, and project stakeholders.
- Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
- Willingness to travel to construction project sites throughout Texas.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with municipal water/wastewater treatment plants, pump stations, water infrastructure, or industrial water systems.
- Experience with large-scale industrial facilities, utility infrastructure, or mission-critical/data center construction.
- Familiarity with design-build, Construction Manager at Risk (CMAR), or EPC project delivery.
- Experience supporting projects from preconstruction through closeout.
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
