Job Description

McCann Partners is supporting a loop-based organization hiring a Senior Project Manager for 6+ month contract engagement. This is a hybrid engagement that requires two days in their Chicago office.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the full life cycle of technology projects, including initiation, planning, execution, monitoring and closeout, using Agile, Waterfall or hybrid methods as appropriate.
  • Define project scope, schedules, budgets and resource plans, and track progress against milestones.
  • Partner with technical teams, vendors and business stakeholders, including attorneys and administrative leaders, to gather requirements and align priorities.
  • Identify, track and mitigate project risks, issues and dependencies, escalating when necessary.
  • Coordinate with information security and risk teams so that projects meet Firm standards for data protection and compliance.
  • Schedule rollouts and system changes to minimize disruption to end users and client work.
  • Prepare clear status reports and presentations for project teams and senior leadership.
  • Manage vendor relationships, statements of work and deliverables.
  • Oversee testing, user acceptance, cutover planning and post-launch support.
  • Drive change management, training and adoption activities for new tools and processes.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of project management practices, templates and tools.


Required

  • Bachelor's degree (B.S. or B.A.) in information systems, computer science, business or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • At least five years of technology project management experience leading complex, cross-functional projects.
  • Working knowledge of enterprise technology, including cloud platforms, business applications, infrastructure and information security concepts.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent projects with competing priorities and tight deadlines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical topics to nontechnical audiences.
  • Proficiency with project management tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, or Microsoft Project.


Preferred

  • PMP, PMI-ACP, Certified ScrumMaster or similar certification.
  • Experience in a law firm or other professional services environment.
  • Experience deploying AI or automation tools.
