About the Opportunity

On behalf of a leading global financial institution, we are looking for an experienced Senior Financial Controller for a strategic 12-month contract. Joining the EMEA Controllers team, you will take full ownership of the day-to-day accounting, financial oversight, and regulatory reporting for the Luxembourg management company (UCITS/AIFM) and its European branches.

Key Responsibilities

• Financial Reporting & Oversight: Lead day-to-day accounting and financial reporting under Lux GAAP, IFRS, and US GAAP across entities and branches.

• Month-End & Shared Services: Oversee the month-end close process and review outputs produced by the regional shared services centre to guarantee accuracy and consistency.

• Regulatory & Statutory Filings: Prepare and review statutory financial statements, management accounts, and finance-related regulatory reporting for the CSSF and other local authorities.

• Tax & Audit Coordination: Review corporate tax and VAT returns (prepared by external advisers), act as the main point of contact for external auditors and regulators, and ensure robust internal controls.

• Governance & Stakeholder Management: Deliver decision-useful commentary, analyze variances, and present financial performance reports to senior management, committees, and Board members.

Your Profile

• Education & Credentials: Fully qualified accountant with significant post-qualification experience.

• Industry Expertise: Extensive experience within Financial Services, specifically Investment Management / Manco (UCITS & AIFMD environment).

• Technical Mastery: Deep knowledge of Lux GAAP, IFRS, and US GAAP, alongside a solid track record in Luxembourg statutory and regulatory reporting (CSSF).

• Leadership & Systems: Strong experience operating in a highly regulated multinational environment.

• Languages: Business fluent in English; French or other European languages are a plus.
