Overview

Fred Astaire Dance Studios® is hiring Dance Instructors to join our growing team. No prior dance teaching experience is required—we provide professional training for the right candidates.

Some of our most successful instructors started with no dance background at all.

This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy working with people, staying active, and developing a skill-based career with strong growth potential.

Hiring Process (Audition-Based)

All candidates begin with a 2-week audition period (approximately 10 hours total).

This period is designed to introduce you to our studio environment and teaching approach while allowing us to evaluate fit.

During the audition, you will:

  • Observe private and group lessons
  • Learn foundational dance techniques
  • Practice movement and partner connection with instructors
  • Become familiar with our curriculum and expectations

Note: The audition period is educational and observation-based. Candidates do not teach or work with students during this time.

At the conclusion, selected candidates will complete a paid evaluation lesson (mock or with a new student). Successful candidates transition into a paid instructor role with ongoing training.
