Overview
BigBear.ai is seeking a Project Control professional provides analytical and operational support for complex IT projects, with responsibility for monitoring schedules, budgets, deliverables, resources, risks, and project performance. This role works closely with project managers, technical teams, and stakeholders to maintain accurate project data and provide timely reporting to support informed decision-making.
What you will do

• Monitor and maintain IT project schedules, milestones, dependencies, deliverables, and critical dates
• Track project budgets, expenditures, forecasts, and planned versus actual performance
• Develop and maintain project status reports, dashboards, metrics, and management briefings
• Track project risks, issues, dependencies, and mitigation activities
• Provide analytical support to project managers to identify schedule, budget, resource, and performance trends
• Track project resources, staffing, assignments, and utilization across project teams
• Maintain project plans, documentation, records, and reporting artifacts
• Use Jira, Confluence, SharePoint, and other project management tools to maintain project visibility and documentation
• Support project managers in monitoring progress against contractual requirements, milestones, and deliverables
• Coordinate with technical teams and project stakeholders to collect, validate, and consolidate project status information
• Support project quality assurance activities and track corrective actions
• Prepare materials for project reviews, status meetings, and stakeholder briefings
• Identify potential schedule, budget, resource, or delivery issues and communicate them to project leadership
• Support project forecasting and planning activities
• Establish and maintain consistent project control processes and reporting practices
• Provide guidance to junior project control personnel as needed

What you need to have

• Bachelor's Degree and 5 to 8 years of experience
• Demonstrated experience monitoring project schedules, budgets, resources, and deliverables
• Experience developing project status reports, dashboards, and performance metrics
• Experience with risk, issue, dependency, and action-item tracking
• Proficiency with Jira, Confluence, SharePoint, or similar project management and collaboration tools
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
• Ability to analyze project data and identify trends, risks, and potential delivery issues
• Ability to obtain and maintain the required U.S. government clearance/background investigation

What we'd like you to have

• Experience supporting federal government IT programs
• Experience with project financial management, forecasting, or budget tracking
• Experience supporting quality assurance and project performance management
• Experience with Agile/Scrum project environments
• PMP, CAPM, or related certification
• Experience supporting software development, cloud, cybersecurity, or other technology programs
• Experience working with contractual deliverables and government reporting requirements
